Uncle Pete’s is our new find in Boston. I was first introduced to it as the space for the Rogues Gallery winter sample sale. It was chock-a-block full of silk screened hoodies and T’s that day. Needless to say my boyfriend was in heaven and rummaged like a mad man. We got away with a ton of Rogues goodies for a song and a neon Aztec printed belt (evidently we’re sharing this item).
When we returned to the newly christened Uncle Pete’s, we were pleasantly surprised by the easy open space. It’s like walking into your grandfather’s den; nice couch, roughed up floorboards, dimly lit, cozy fireplace and a massive wooden table that might have hosted a rowdy card game or two back in the day. This quality space perfectly houses the selective collection of quality items from labels such as Vena Cava, Rogues Gallery, Rag and Bone and Comme des Garcons. The manager of the store is a great guy, super helpful and chill to talk to. He chatted with us about the store, the neighborhood, the amazing food at Paramount down the road. Needles to say, we instantly became his number one fan. The best thing about the store is that it brings that necessary edge to the sea of Vineyard Vines and Polo button downs that often congest Beacon Hill. Keep it up Uncle Pete’s!
