I received an email from the folks of Etre last week and I’m so happy they introduced me to their brand. Each piece is handcrafted in the British Isles using ethically sourced, time-honoured British materials. Their collection draws inspiration from traditional British workwear. Beautifully knit fishermen’s sweaters with a design familiar to generations of local fishermen (and the wives who knit their sweaters). Workwear jackets made of traditional navy Melton wool in a 150-year old family run business in West Yorkshire. Guernsey jumpers knitted of worsted wool that is spun and dyed in Yorkshire mills that have been making the same material for generations. And leather gloves made by one of the last glove manufacturing companies left in the UK. Evidenced by their resources, the Etre collection features the same quality and beautiful craftsmanship of the traditional workwear that inspired them.
